WA Over 60's - 2007 NewsIt’s Monday, Day 1 of the Tournament, still no sign of Pedro, but the rest of are there soaking up the atmosphere……… soaking up the beer too – well, it’s 5pm, the sun’s going down over the yardarm so where else would you head but straight to the beer tent – but of course it’s only to represent the State in the appropriate manner by supporting the opening social event of the tour. Good to see some familiar faces from the “Other-Siders”, friends today, but foes tomorrow for a short while on the turf. And the Over 70’s are out there, playing an Exhibition Game – well, may be they are a touch slower, but what does it matter, they are there, pioneering the way – for us - they’ll be a new 70’s division soon and it’ll not be long before we are there too……. if we make it.
